No. A privacy file uses its own nine-digit number for credit reporting only. It is never a replacement for your Social Security number, and it cannot be used anywhere a Social Security number is legally required.
Your new file itself is ready within 24 hours. Public record filings need about 10 days to fully post, and authorized-user reporting usually shows up seven to ten days after that account's next billing cycle closes.
Your deposit starts the file build and the public record filing work. The remaining balance covers the authorized-user accounts tied to your package.
Yes. Any debt you already owe stays yours to pay, on your old file and on any new credit you take on. A privacy file does not erase or excuse existing debt.
